Runatolia Marathon

The event was first held on March 19, 2006, under 'Runtalya International Antalya Marathon' to raise awareness of Turkish tourism, increase diversity, and bring vitality to winter tourism. It has been hosting athletes from all over the world since the first day it was held. 

The marathon was named the 'Runatolia Marathon' in 2015 and takes place every year in March. The streets of Antalya are animated by the competition, excitement and fun-filled struggle of thousands of jogging lovers, which are the scene of unforgettable moments.

 Runatolia Marathon attracts great interest from domestic and foreign athletes and appeals to amateur runners and professional runners. In the marathon, where quite unusual images are encountered, some participants participate in the run with their babies and some with their pets. Some participants run with themed t-shirts to draw attention to social issues and raise awareness.

 Marathon is half and 10 km. The Runatolia Marathon has different categories, such as disciplines. The competitors, who run on a flat and non-climbing track on the route covering the inner city and Antalya coast, have the chance to see all the city's historical, cultural and natural beauties closely while having a very colourful and enjoyable jogging experience. 

Apart from running, in the Runatolia Marathon, where many side activities are held, such as 'Little Steps Run' where children compete, 'Baby Run' where babies try to reach their parents by crawling, and 'High Heel Run', which is highly anticipated every year, where women compete in 7 cm high heels. The events provide fun and joyful moments to the participants. 

Thanks to its popularity and festive atmosphere, the Runatolia Marathon has become one of the indispensable sports events in Antalya and Turkey.
