With the 7th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival, 111 events will be held at 33 different points in the streets and squares of the ancient city. Manuş Baba and Light in Babylon will take the stage at the mirador, where the main stage of the festival will be set up. The traditional parade will start from Karaalioğlu Park on Friday, October 14, at 18:00.
The festival begins in Kaleiçi where is the ancient living city of Antalya, where narrow streets, mansions opening to wide courtyards, claws hidden by bougainvillea trigger the sense of discovery of visitors, traces of human history are traced on different routes, and extraordinary examples of world cuisine come together. Muratpaşa Municipality's 7th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival will be held on October 13-16. The festival, which will be held with the participation of 52 cities from 27 countries, will host 111 events in 33 different points of Kaleiçi with its streets and squares this year.
Highlights from the Festival
The festival will continue from Thursday to Sunday in Kaleiçi. It will start with yoga every day at 08.30. Instructed by David Scherwey and Damla Cifcili, the 1-hour session will take place on the mirador, the balcony of Kaleiçi stretching out to the Mediterranean.
Koç University Suna-İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum and the exhibition 'Animals and Coins' features images of animals on coins from ancient times to the present. It will remain open throughout the festival and can be visited free of charge. The exhibition "Under the Same Sky" brings together the works of foreign artists living in Antalya. It will be among the permanent open festival exhibitions at Mehmet Arif Bey Hotel. Kaleiçi Photography Contest will also be organized by Antalya Photography and Cinema Amateurs Association (ANFAD) at the festival where Kaleiçi Art Workshop, Painting Workshop, International Painting and Felt Symposium, ceramics, magnet making, tattoo design, tree decoration workshops and installation works will be held.
Iran Neighboring Countries Friendship Association will also open a group painting exhibition titled "Women's Life Freedom" within the festival's scope. The exhibition on Hıdırlık Street between 14 - 16 October can be visited between 16.00 - 18.00. Tango 24 – Argentine Tango Culture Meeting, organized by Istanbul Antalya Tango Schools, is also among the festival events.
Antalya Artists Association (ANSAN) will also participate in the festival with a panel titled 'Literature and Environment' in which Zeynep Oral will join as a speaker. The meeting will start at Koç University Suna – İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum on Saturday at 17.00.Outdoor Art Space
It is continuing to create its art language in the public space as part of the Antalya Kaleiçi Old Town Festival since 2016. The Open Air Art Space is hosted by the streets of Kaleiçi this year. Dr. Curated by Ebru Nalan Pheasant, the event brings together the productions of artists from different disciplines. This year, it is directing its lens to the Oxytocin Medicine and Art Platform. The first Turkish woman to be the owner of the Gusi Peace Prize is given to experts in the history of medicine and people who contribute to world peace. Prof. Dr. Elif Vatanoğlu Lutz taught inspired artists this year.

The traditional parade of the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival is a place of colorful scenes. It will start at Karaalioğlu Park on Friday, October 14, at 18:00. The festival parade will continue along Atatürk Street and will enter Kaleiçi through the historical Üç Kapılar. The main stage of the festival will be set on the mirador, Kaleiçi's balcony stretching out to the Mediterranean. Manuş Baba will perform at the festival on Friday, and Light in Babylon will take the stage on Saturday evening.
