The New Year Market has been organized in cooperation with Alanya Municipality and Alanya Municipality Foreigners' Assembly. The 12th Alanya International New Year Market was held with events that lasted for two days. Tens of thousands of local and foreign citizens flocked to the New Year Market.
Alanya International New Year Market is organized every year by Alanya Municipality and Alanya Municipality Foreigners' Assembly and opened its doors for the 12th time this year. It was held behind Alanya Municipality Building. During the two-day events, many souvenir and food stands were set up. Citizens of many countries; had the opportunity to exhibit their own culture, traditions and customs at the stands and to share them with the citizens of other nations. While the market area was almost overflowing with visitors for two days, the activities and photo areas attracted great attention from the citizens.
Dance and Music Performances Enlivened the Market
The stage set up on the New Year's Market witnessed a parade of dance and music performances for two days. While the local dances and music of many countries were exhibited on the stage, local and foreign visitors had the opportunity to get to know many different cultures. On the first day of the New Year Market, the famous artist and violin virtuoso Gülşah Tütüncü took the stage in the evening, while the popular musician Göksel Doğançay performed the closing on the second day.
All Proceeds of the New Year Market will be Donated to Persons with Disabilities
It has been reported that all of the income from the New Year's Market, which was extended to 2 days upon popular demand and organized under the leadership of the Alanya Municipality Foreigners' Council, will be donated to individuals with disabilities.
