Taşdibi is the only blue-flagged beach in the Demre district. It is flooded with people, especially on weekends and when the sea is choppy. Thousands of local and foreign tourists swim on Taşdibi Beach every day.
Thousands of people come to Taşdibi every day. The only blue-flagged beach of Demre. On weekends and when the sea is choppy, the number of visitors to Taşdibi Beach multiplies. Taşdibi Beach is the old natural harbour of Demre. When the sea is choppy, there are no waves at Taşdibi Beach. Because just below a small mountain and the tip of the hill extending forward, it acts as a breakwater for Taşdibi Beach. For this reason, Taşdibi Beach served as the port of Demre in the past. The facilities established by the Municipality of Demre, the volleyball court, the infrastructure and the blue flag it received made Taşdibi Beach the center of attention. The beach starts to fill up in the early morning. Kömürlük Beach is the continuation of Taşdibi Beach. It is also populated by those who cannot find a place at Taşdibi Beach. The beach is 5 kilometres from Taşdibi Beach to the point where the Demre Stream flows. It is flooded by people, especially on weekends. These days when the air temperature is 33-34 degrees, the seawater temperature is 30 degrees, and the beach is full and overflowing. (Ahmet Acar- DHA)
