High Interest from Tourists in Rahvan Horse Races

Side Rahvan Horse Races were held at Side Büyük Beach

Side Rahvan Horse Races. It cooperates with the Traditional Equestrian Sports Federation, Manavgat Side Rahvan Horsemen Association and Manavgat Municipality. It was held at Side Büyük Beach. Tourists also showed great interest in the races where fierce struggles took place.

 Manavgat Side Rahvan Horse Races were held in cooperation with the Traditional Equestrian Sports Federation, Manavgat Side Rahvan Horsemen Association and Manavgat Municipality. In the races held at Side Büyük Beach, the horses competed in the categories of Imported A, Imported B, Triple Colt, Quadruple Colt, Deck, Small Medium, Large Medium, Başaltı and Head. It was the surprise of the day that the horse running on behalf of Manavgat Mayor Şükrü Sözen came first by five lengths. 

A broad audience of 7 to 77 followed the races, in which nearly 80 horsemen from across Turkey participated. A total of 107 thousand TL awards and trophies were distributed to the races' winners, followed closely by the German, Dutch, English and Russian tourists who came to Manavgat for vacation, as well as the followers of the Turkish horse racers. 

Traditional Equestrian Sports Federation Rahvan Equestrian Vice President Zeki Geneloğlu stated that their federation was founded about three months ago and said, "As the Traditional Equestrian Sports Federation, horsemen were separated as javelin, archery, blindfold and ambush. With our esteemed Federation President Zübeyir Bekiroğlu, I hope we get better with the efforts of our horse riders' friends. "I believe he will come to a place. At first, we could not repay Bilal Erdoğan's contributions. Hopefully, we plan to organize more beautiful races with you in the coming days," he said. 

Manavgat Side Rahvan Horsemen's Association President Hasan Delikkulak stated great interest in the 11th Side Rahvan Horse Races this year.
