During the high season of tourism, hundreds of yachts come to the world-famous Kekova in Antalya's Demre district every day. Thousands of local and foreign tourists enjoy being intertwined with the sea, nature and history in Kekova.
Daily yacht tours are organized to Kekova from Demre's Çayağzı Port, Üçağız District and Kaş district every day. The busiest yacht tours are made from Çayağzı Port. Yachts departing from three points in the morning bring thousands of tourists together with the historical and natural beauties of Kekova. There are 3-5 yachts in each bay in Kekova. Groups that go on tour with boats first tour Sunken City. They examine the history under and near the water and take pictures and images. Afterwards, the yachts pass in front of the ancient city of Simena, with its historical name resembling an eagle's nest, and Kaleköy, which is today's name. Especially some of the yachts coming from Kaş anchor in front of Kaleköy. The ships then pass to Gökkaya Bay, which is a natural harbor. Domestic and foreign tourists immerse themselves in the blue waters of the Mediterranean on yachts anchored in every corner of Gökkaya Bay. Tourists enjoy the sea and the sun in the turquoise waters.
Another stop for the yachts departing from Demre's Çayağzı Harbor and Üçağız Neighborhood is the Korsanlar Cave, formerly known as the Lovers' Cave. Customers are told about the caves as the yachts pass in front of the cave. Domestic and foreign tourists are taking the Kekova tour to experience the pleasure of spending a day with history, sea and nature.
'Kekova Fascinated Me'
Russian tourist Maria Samashina, who participated in the Kekova tour, said, "I came to Turkey and Kekova for the first time. Kekova fascinated me. I guess there is only Kekova in the world with such beauty. There is history under and above the sea. Nature, sea, everything intertwined. "My only regret is that I came without a swimsuit. I couldn't swim in the deep blue waters. I will come again, and soon," she said.
Russian Aleksey Saint Garmash said, "I came from St. Petersburg, Russia. I came to Turkey for the first time. I joined the Demre tour to visit the St. Nicholas Memorial Museum. But when I came to Kekova, I was fascinated. I never thought that I would encounter such beauty. "It is an incredible beauty. I was amazed by Kekova's history, nature and sea. I will come again," he said.
French tourist Galaad Le Douazan said, "I am thrilled to be in Kekova, to spend a day here. This is a wonderful place that is rarely seen in the world. The sea is deep blue, immaculate.
