07 December 2022

According to the current reservations, it is expected that the tourism rates in 2023 will outgo the year 2019, also known as, the peak year of tourism.

Governor Ersin Yazıcı stated that they set targets with record expectations for 2023 in Antalya tourism. Explaining that they are constantly meeting with the tourism sector staff and evaluating the preparations, Governor Yazıcı said, “Our 2023 expectations are good; In the negotiations with both tour companies, hoteliers and airline companies, early reservations, especially from Europe, have started right now.”

We Expect a Great Year for 2023

Considering that, the reservations for 2023 have started and going well, the Governor Yazıcı stated “Airline companies are trying to adjust themselves accordingly. There are many applications to tour companies. The situation is the same in our hotels. Hopefully, if there are no major unusual events in the world, we expect a very good year for 2023. Tour companies have started their seasonal sales. They say that they have already started to fill up the season.”

Knowing that the hotel owners in Alanya, Manavgat and Kemer want to spend the winter season open like many hotels in Belek and Kundu, Yazıcı said, “This year the season has been extended for 20 days. We aim to give priority to health and sports tourism in the upcoming years. We strive for this with all our institutions and organizations, especially our Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In the section from December to April, we aim to increase the occupancy rate of our hotels and reduce the number of closed hotels with various activities, especially health and sports tourism.”

World Class Service

Governor Yazici stated that there was a good tourism season in 2022. He added; in 2023, the sector is preparing to leave behind the season of 2019, the highest number of tourists in history. He also said, “I hope we are even more hopeful for next year. We estimate that we can easily pass the peak year 2019 in 2023. Antalya does this job at the best level in world standards. With this quality and understanding, we believe and know that when we offer this service, the most tourists will come to this city.” (Mehmet Çınar- DHA)
