The second of the Antalya Ultra Marathon will take place on December 24, 25. Approximately 2,000 athletes from 27 different countries are expected to participate in the marathon, where the competitors will compete in 5 different tracks.
"Are you ready to explore the most beautiful city in the world by running?" is the slogan of Konyaaltı Municipality. Antalya Ultra Marathon will be organized for the second time this year. Hundreds of local and foreign athletes will meet in Antalya. Athletes will compete in 5 different tracks as 5 kilometers, 12 kilometers, 31 kilometers, 57 kilometers and 85 kilometers. They will have the opportunity to discover the unique beauties of Antalya.
Meeting Point Konyaaltı
In addition to the 31, 57 and 85 KM Antalya Ultra tracks, starting from the Konyaaltı Beach and extending from blue to white, there are also short tracks such as 5 KM and 12 KM in order to make sports and running popular. On the other hand, children can also participate in the marathon. Children will run 500 meters. Expressing that the Antalya Ultra Marathon will be organized for the second time this year. The marathon will make a significant contribution to Antalya's sports tourism. Konyaaltı Mayor Semih Esen stated that such sports activities are important in order to expand tourism in Antalya to 12 months. Mayor Esen said, “With the Konyaaltı Municipality Antalya Ultra Marathon, athletes from various countries of the world will have the opportunity to discover the natural beauties of Antalya. We attach importance to such events in order to diversify tourism. We want to make the ultra-marathon we will organize for the second time this year. A race that will make its name heard in Turkey and the world by continuing it in the coming years."
Dogs Will Compete Too
Dear friends will also run as part of the marathon. Dogs will participate in the 5-kilometer run on Sunday, December 25, in the category called Paw Run. Dogs will be together with their owners. They will run for their other dear friends. The income from this run will be returned to street animals as food (DHA).
