Antalya, which ranks first in Turkey in terms of housing sales to foreigners, was followed by Istanbul, Mersin, Ankara, Yalova, Izmir, Edirne, Muğla, Aydın and Kocaeli.
Record Increase from Russians
Russians rank first among the foreign nationals who buy the most housing in Turkey. While the Russians bought 817 houses in Turkey in April, they bought 4,732 houses in the four-month period. While Antalya was the province in the residence preference of Russians, its share in total sales approached 35 percent. The rate of increase in the number of house purchases of Russians, which was 2,687 in the first 4 months last year, was 76 percent. On the other hand, Ukrainians bought 135 houses in April and 595 houses in four months.
