The International Folklore Festival brings together the folklore of the world and Turkey at Kepez Dokumapark. National and international professional societies participate in the festival, which is held in August every year and has become a tradition due to its great interest.
Traditional dances of different regions and cultures are exhibited at the International Folklore Festival. The festival started with a cortege march, folk dances, and dance ensembles came together and performed insatiable shows.
The festival provides a visual feast for local and foreign tourists and Antalya residents, spreading to the neighbourhoods of Kepez. While local motifs, colours, textures and tastes from different parts of the world, especially from 7 regions of Turkey, come together in Antalya, thanks to the events that take place, love, tolerance, and understanding prevail. Hosting nearly 1000 guests for five days, the International Folklore Festival contributes to Antalya's brand value while giving the participants a colourful and enthusiastic festival atmosphere with shows that reflect the cultures of countries, cities and regions.
