Yalan Dünya Cave

Yalan Dünya Cave is in Beyrebucak Village of Gazipaşa District of Antalya. It is within 400 meters of a mountain in the village. The cave fascinates those who see it with its 5 million years of history.

There is a sad story of the cave being called the 'Cave of the Lie World'. Legend has it that a man living in a cave and a girl from the surrounding villages fall in love. The lovers often end up spending all their time in the cave. One day, when they are alone in the cave, an earthquake occurs, and the cave collapses and separates the lovers. Thus, their love and their life will be a lie. In memory of the lovers, the cave they could not reunite with is called the Cave of the Lie World.

The most important feature of the cave, which has become more known with the maintenance and works carried out after 2010 and increased the tourism potential of Gazipaşa, is that it is still a living cave. In the cave, whose life cycle continues, there are new formations and huge stalactites and stalagmites millions of years old.

With a length of 4 km, one of the deepest caves in the region, Yalan Dünya Cave, can only be visited at 450 meters for now. The cave's temperature is an average of twenty-eight degrees in summer and winter. It is believed that the cave, which has a humidity of seventy-five percent, is good for asthma.

The interior of the cave, which can be visited with a walk of about half an hour, resembles a fantastic movie set with special lighting. Inside, you can connect to the chambers while visiting the tunnels formed over time. It is recommended to walk at a slow pace during the trip to avoid getting overwhelmed and sweating.

The cave fascinates its visitors with its mysterious and creepy atmosphere. It is among the natural beauties that those who vacation in the region should include in their travel plans.
