Kesme Strait Canyon

Kesme Strait Canyon is in the direction of Altınyaka, 45 km from Antalya city center and 10 km from Kemer town centre. The strait, which gave its name to the canyon, was a critical passage used by traders and military armies in ancient times due to its geographical location.
 
The canyon in Beydağları National Park evokes different emotions in visitors with rich vegetation, colorful flowers and natural habitat that hosts wildlife.
 
On the narrowest part of the canyon, which is by the merging of three streams, there is a single arched stone bridge built in the Roman Imperial Age, 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, over Ağva Creek. Mainly photography enthusiasts can photograph the bridge. It was restored a few years ago and regained its current appearance, accompanied by a magnificent view. On the 7 km southwest of the Kesme Bogazi, Gedelme Castle, built during the Byzantine Imperial Age, and 8 km on the northeast, the Hunting Lodge, built by the Seljuks.
 
On the side of the stream, located on the slope of the historical stone bridge, there are embankments made of large rocks and wooden seats. In these gazebos, you can take a pleasant break against the magnificent view. You can enjoy the coolness by swimming in the natural pools created by the freshwater springs in the mountains.
 
Kesme Strait Canyon has a rich flora. It has special importance as it hosts endemic plant species such as Kemer Orchid and Olympos Saffron and is the place where these species are introduced to the scientific world.
 
With its icy waters, clean air with high oxygen concentration, and unique geographical beauties, cutting Bosphorus Canyon welcomes thousands of visitors every year and is an excellent option for outdoor sports, hiking, cycling and safari.
