Cleopatra Beach and Damlataş Beach

Cleopatra and Damlataş Beaches are Blue Flagged. They are at the entrance of Alanya, on the west side of the historical peninsula and Alanya Castle, side by side.

One of the beaches that are open to the public, with free entrance, the coastline based on the western skirts of the historical peninsula right in front of the Damlataş Cave is Damlataş Beach. On the other hand, Cleopatra Beach extends toward the peninsula on the coast. Surrounded by rocks, the beach looks like a natural pool with its sheltered structure.

According to rumors, when the Roman Emperor Antonius gifted Alanya and its surroundings to the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, the queen loved this region very much. She used this bay for swimming in the sea when she went on a Mediterranean expedition. It is also said that there is a secret tunnel that goes from the castle to the beach and is used only by the queen in these waters.

The main feature of Cleopatra Beach is that it is one of the most loved coves of tourists and the residents of the district. With its beach of approximately 2 km long with fine golden-yellow sand, its water is very clear. When you enter the water with goggles, you will discover the magical riches of the sea and realize that you are swimming with the fish.

You can enjoy the sun, sand and sea at Cleopatra Beach. It has a very clean and comfortable beach. Those who want to add more movement and fun to their holiday can experience joyful moments with activities such as boats, sea bikes, parachutes, jet skis and diving.
