Sultan Alaaddin Mosque

Although there is no definite information about the construction date of the Sultan Alaaddin Mosque, it is thought that it was built by Karamanoğlu Alaaddin Bey about 700 years ago. It is in the Merkez Mahallesi of the Korkuteli district of Antalya.
 
The Sultan Alaaddin Mosque became unusable due to the fire that broke out in the early 1900s, as the soil on its ceiling was completely destroyed. The district residents continued their worship with a small masjid built in the mosque area. The mosque was opened to visitors after the restoration work in 2013 and continued for about five years.
 
Sultan Alaaddin Mosque is famous for its unique crown gate and mihrab. The crown gate. It is about 8 meters long with its decorations and reliefs. It has tremendous originality and reflects the traces of various traditions. It was restored to its former majesty during the repair it went through.
 
Wood, rubble stone, cut stone and block stones were used throughout the rectangular planned mosque. In its northwest corner, its minaret was built of cut stone with a square base. The porcupines under the balcony, rich and magnificent in appearance, are adorned with tile vases.
