Karaalioglu Park

Karaalioğlu Park, one of the first places that come to mind when Antalya city center is mentioned, lays the Beydağları and Antalya Bay underfoot in all their glory.

The park's construction started in 1941 during the time of the governor of the time, Haşim İşcan. The park was opened under the name of İnönü Park after three years of work, and over the years, it was named after Karaalioğlu, one of the landowners on which the park was established. It is popularly known as Karaoğlan Park, mainly after Bülent Ecevit.

The main plan of Karaalioğlu Park was designed by taking the ancient city of Perge as an example. Inside, there are three streets parallel to each other, in the east-west direction to the sea. These streets end with three viewing terraces by the sea. It is a unique experience to watch the sunrises and sunsets from the Miradors, together with the fascinating Antalya view.

Located on the cliffs, Karaalioğlu Park was established on  140 thousand square meters. Fifty-four different bird species are living in the park, which is covered with flowers, trees and plant species that reflect the flora of Antalya. It is possible to come across species such as 'Green Parrots', which are under protection, and species such as Bush Nightingale, Bee Bird, Isaac Bird, Small Dove.

The park, which was decorated with unique sculpture works in the late 1970s, offers pleasant moments to the city's residents. You can do your morning and evening sports in the park if you wish. You can have a good time at the picnic tables under the trees with your food and drink, or you can sit on the benches and relax with the beautiful view. You can take a pleasant break from the day in the tea gardens located in the park. You can watch Konyaaltı Beach and the cliffs from the viewing terraces and explore Kaleiçi Streets by heading towards the Hıdırlık Tower from the continuation of the park.

Thanks to the location of Karaalioğlu Park, which offers the opportunity to experience many breathtaking beauties of Antalya at the same time, it is an escape point in the city, away from the city, where the people of Antalya breathe with ease of transportation, unique nature, spacious walking areas among the greenery.
