Akseki’s Button Houses Are Being Restored

The buildings known as “Button Houses,” due to their architectural structure in the Akseki district of Antalya, are being restored by the original.

In work initiated under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism leadership, the restoration work that started to ensure that the “button houses” of 4 centuries will remain intact for the future. The works carried out in the buildings called “Button Houses” because the wooden pieces left outside to be used as scaffolding during their construction resembled buttons, also delighted the region’s people. Button houses are among the most visited places by local and foreign guests.
